The package description ends at "Filter that can be run between an arbitrary application and" whereas the full text should be "Filter that can be run between an arbitrary application and a UTF-8 terminal emulator" This affects both pacman's output as well the page here: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/xorg-luit/ Taking a look at the PKGBUILD, i believe the pkgdesc field should not be multiline.
