Details
The option for using a custom DSDT included into an
initrd/initramfs file seems to have been removed from the
kernel:

Because of this it doesn't seem to be possible to override the DSDT during boot (unless compiling a custom kernel with the DSDT compiled into the kernel). If the DSDT can't be loaded using this method I think it would be best to remove the hook and update the information on the wiki page. |

I agree. Changed the title to something more searchable and pushed
a commit that removes the build hook to my dev repo.
