DetailsSetting PKGEXT=".pkg.tar" in a PKGBUILD produces a package ending in '.pkg.tar'. Pacman's bash completion for the -U --upgrade operation will complete a package ending in '.pkg.tar.gz' or '.pkg.tar.xz', but not '.pkg.tar'.
This behaviour seems to be defined in line 101 of /etc/bash_completion.d/pacman: " compopt -o filenames; _filedir 'pkg.tar.*'" |

Patches welcome to fix this, should be an easy fix (zsh might have the same problem as well).
