Detailsbootchart2 (http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=51576) is useful for finding performance regressions in early boot (especially now with kmod/udev moving things around it would be good to have an idea if things are getting better or worse performance wise).
In order to work bootchart2 requires CONFIG_PROC_EVENTS=y (which in turn requires CONFIG_CONNECTOR=y). If this is enabled, I'll clean up the bootchart2 package and move it to [extra]. |
