DetailsDescription:
Installing sdlmame prints this message: *************************************************************** SDLMAME has been updated. If you are upgrading directly from 0.117 or earlier, you must delete all .cfg files and re-configure your controllers. You should also run 'SDLMAME --newini' to force the script to create a new ini file with default settings at ~/.mame/sdlmame.ini since there may be new ini options. *************************************************************** However (according to strace) the only .ini file that sdlmame writes when called with option "--newini" is "~/.mame/mame.ini". sdlmame prints this message when called with --newini: "Rebuilding the ini file at /home/user/.mame/sdlmame.ini Modify this file for permanent changes to your SDLMAME options and paths before running SDLMAME again." So maybe an upstream fix is also needed since sdlmame itself points to the wrong location. Also the correct command would be "sdlmame --newini" in lowercase instead of uppercase letters. Additional info: * package version(s) * sdlmame 0.144.u4-1 |
