Description:
The package "sudo" is not listed as an optional dependency in pacman 3.5.4-4 [core], nor in pacman 4.0.1-1 [testing] for both i686 and x86_64, even though the shell function "run_pacman" uses sudo (if available) in scripts/makepkg.sh.in.

i believe is using su if sudo is not available when doing makepkg -i

Which makes sudo optional. Is this _really_ necessary? We don't list awk, grep, sed, or coreutils as dependencies of pacman.
