DetailsDescription:
RealTek 8111e PCIExpress ( integrated ) card uses r8169 driver from the current (3.1.5-1) kernel instead of using the r8168 driver. Card works fine with this driver too, but doesn't support wake on lan. Installing r8168 from the Community repo and blacklisting the r8169 doesn't solve the problem, and gives me errors while inserting the r8168 module. Solving the bug, you have to install the r8168-lts driver with kernel26-lts and to blacklist r8169. The bugs here are in the stock archlinux kernel ( r8168 not supported ) and in the community r8168 driver ( I was unable to insert the module, "invalid argument" error shown ) Arch: x86_64 Kernel: 3.1.5-1 drivers tested: r8168 (Community) --- not working r8168-lts with kernel26-lts --- working |
This task depends upon
linux 3.1.5-1
r8168 8.027.00-2
What about WOL?
