My laptop's synaptics touchpad stopped working completely after a recent upgrade. This kind of problem has occurred in the past (see task #26533 and task #25057). Thanks for your help. Well, for some unknown reason my touchpad started working now. I am attaching the current Xorg log file. This is all so ruddy mysterious.
