DetailsDescription:
New files won't get added to library when put into watched folders Additional info: * package version(s) minidlna 1.0.22-4 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: install, setup folder , put files into it, run scan, start server, add more files to folder -> won't show up in library untill you run manual scan. There is reports about inotify upstream , http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=243163&atid=1121516 , but they got ironed out according to maintainers and bug reporter, so I don't know if it's an Arch problem. |
This task depends upon
[ -z "$PID" ] && su -s /bin/sh -l -c /usr/sbin/minidlna - $MINIDLNA_USER
to
[ -z "$PID" ] && /usr/sbin/minidlna
fixed it from me. Am I the only one having that issue ?
However removing the folder and running the deamon starting minidlna with the original rc script , fails to create the minidlna folder, meaning no db gets created :
sudo rc.d restart minidlna
:: Stopping minidlna FAIL
:: Starting minidlna BUSY
[2011/12/30 00:02:39] minidlna.c:534: fatal: Database path not accessible! [/var/cache/minidlna] FAIL
However my access rights for that folders are correct :
/var
drwxr-xr-x 13 root root 4096 21. Dez 20:10 var
/var/cache
drwxr-xr-x 15 root root 4096 30. Dez 00:05 cache
I manually created /var/cache/minidlna and changed ownership to "nobody" which let minildna create its database and also file updates to watched folder can be tracked ...
