PKGBUILD specifies depends=(... 'libtool') in package_redland() At best, this should be a makedepends, but since libtool is part of base-devel, it's superfluous. I removed it and it builds fine in a clean chroot. I found this dependency trying to track down why gcc was installing on my webserver (where I do no compiling.) Output of pactree -r gcc: |--gcc |--libtool |--redland |--libreoffice-common |--alfresco-community-base |--alfresco-community-tomcat6 |
