Cannot reproduce. Could you please ensure that:

* You use the default config in both mplayer(1) and gnome-mplayer(1).
* You fire up gnome-mplayer(1) with a single MP3 file for testing purposes.
* You exit gnome-mplayer(1) via "File", "Quit".

cat ~/.mplayer/config

# Write your default config options here!

[gnome-mplayer]
vo=vdpau
msglevel=all=5
cache=8192
slang=Turkish,tur,tr

and there is no problem with mp3 playing.

You didn't do what I asked you to do :) I'll be a bit more precise this time...

1) `mv $HOME/.mplayer/ $HOME/.mplayer_`
2) `mv $HOME/.config/gnome-mplayer $HOME/.config/gnome-mplayer_`
3) `/usr/bin/gnome-mplayer $random_mp3_file`
4) Exit GNOME MPlayer via "File", "Quit".
5) Check if mplayer(1) is closed properly.
6) Undo steps 1) and 2).
