DetailsDescription:
At least the hpcups-ppd's for the HP Officejet Pro 8000 printer series is not installed from the package, albeit part of the upstream tarball. There are hpijs-ppd's which get installed, but they are - at least for this printer - vastly inferior, no landscape-printing, no borderless and i don't know yet what else. So, the hpcups-ppd's are a must for serious printing, without further investigation regarding the situation for other printers i would simply recommend installing all ppd's from the original tarball... Additional info: * package version(s) 3.11.10-1 Steps to reproduce: install hplips, check existance of hpcups-ppds, for example hp-officejet_pro_8000_a809.ppd.gz |
