Can you give more details about the problem? Parallel port support is already enabled.

Then it must be me. I could not get my HP Deskjet 820cxi to work as I followed the CUPS wiki. When I went to the HP hplip site, one of the things it suggested was that the parallel port capability was not installed by default.

I guess there is just too much conflicting information on the subject. Maybe the wiki is not complete yet. Oh well.

Old parallel printer died. Now use Ethernet printer. No longer interested, as it looks like parallel is dying out. Too bad it wasn't right to begin with. Thanks anyway.
