After upgrading to kernel 3.1.3 my uvc webcam stopped
working. It is recognized but cannot send video data, even
if the integrated microphone works well. Downgrading to
kernel 3.1.2 solve the problem.
This is a part of dmesg, errors appears only with kernel 3.1.3: [ 9248.385816] usb 1-3: new high speed USB device number 6 using ehci_hcd [ 9248.539884] uvcvideo: Found UVC 1.00 device Microsoft LifeCam-VX700 v2.0 (045e:0770) [ 9248.544515] input: Microsoft LifeCam-VX700 v2.0 as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.7/usb1/1-3/1-3:1.0/input/input12 [ 9248.573966] 6:3:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x84 [ 9249.110570] 6:3:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x84 [ 9249.149940] 6:3:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x84 [ 9501.705422] vmap allocation for size 728793088 failed: use vmalloc=<size> to increase size.
