i installed a chroot yesterday and found out that the quickinst script does overwrite the pacman.conf, without restoring the old one. perhaps a short check if a pacman.conf does exist would be great to have in the script, that makes a backup of the original pacman.conf and restores it after quickinst is done. |

quickinst.patch
small patch that creates a pacman.conf in /tmp/etc/
so the normal pacman.conf will not be touched.
