DetailsWhen arts is the only package from kde group installed, it's simply unusable. There are two reasons:
a) programs in /opt/kde/bin are not reachable because the directory is not included in PATH, b) libraries in /opt/kde/lib are not reachable because the directory is not inlcuded in /etc/ld.so.conf. As a solution I suggest to: a) remove /etc/profile.d/kde.sh from kde-common, b) remove adding /opt/kde/lib to /etc/ld.so.conf from kdelibs.install, c) add /etc/profile.d/kde.sh to arts, d) add adding /opt/kde/lib to /etc/ld.so.conf to arts.install. If it is done that way, arts will be able to work without other kde packages. And there won't be any problem with other kde packages, because they all require arts directly or indirectly. |
