DetailsDescription: When playing a DVD in VLC (using PulseAudio), some of the audio tracks (such as the one for speech) play way too low. According to a VLC forum post (http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=94895&hilit=dvd+audio&sid=321e68d8619dfdda2c6046e0a432da18#p315077) , this was fixed a while back and distros like Debian and Ubuntu have already picked up the fix. Apparently the Arch package hasn't been patched, though.
It looks like the fix isn't in the most recent stable release, but this is enough of a hassle that it seems it should be included now instead of waiting for the next release. If it's good enough for Ubuntu, I would think it's good enough for Arch. |
