DetailsHeya,
some time ago I used xdm as a login-manager. When I updated Xorg my config-files always changed back to their defaults. This made xdm listen to requests on the network and Xorg listen on a tcp-connection I believe. I changed my config-files to disallow this, but updated these changes were gone. I don't use xdm anymore, but I want to ask to add the files in the "/etc/X11/xdm"-directory in the backup-variable in the PKGBUILD. So, this should be: backup=('etc/X11/xdm/Giveconsole' 'etc/X11/xdm/TakeConsole' 'etc/X11/xdm/Xaccess' 'etc/X11/xdm/Xresources' 'etc/X11/xdm/Xservers' 'etc/X11/xdm/Xsession' 'etc/X11/xdm/Xsetup_0' 'etc/X11/xdm/Xwilling' 'etc/X11/xdm/authdir' 'etc/X11/xdm/chooser' 'etc/X11/xdm/xdm-config') I didn't add the files in the pixmap-directory. Don't know if that is really needed. I was wondering if it is possible to use regular expressions/wildcards in the paths? thanks, Michel |

Reason for closing: Fixed
Additional comments about closing: xorg makes a backup of the real configfiles for xdm now. Please backup them first for now, since pacman will overwrite it on this upgrade anyways.
