Description:
At first <em:maxVersion> is 9.0a1. However, PKGBUILD has changed it to 7.* .
That's why it has a compatible problem now.
I wrote and upload a PKGBUILD, works for me.

BTW, I suggest use
depends=("firefox>=8.0" "firefox<=10.0")
instead of
depends=("firefox>=X.0" "firefox<=X.99")

Because every time I tried to update firefox,
pacman told me that unable to update
since firefox-adblock-plus request firefox X.99.
I think this is a pacman's defect.
But https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/
said that this plugin works in firefox 10.0a1.
So use my depends list can avoid this issue.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
1.3.10-3
* config and/or log files etc.

Steps to reproduce:
install it by pacman.
   PKGBUILD (0.8 KiB)
This task depends upon

Does it have something to do with http://mailman.archlinux.org/pipermail/arch-dev-public/2011-November/022051.html ?

Edit: Can you post the exact error message? I've just successfully updated to firefox 8.0-1 and firefox-adblock-plus 1.3.10-3.

Hi:

Does it have something to do with <url> ?
No, it is a different issue.

You said you can update this plugin with firefox, But dose it work? I mean, can you enable it?

I choose tools in menu and then add-ons, I got this error message:
"Adblock Plus is incompatible with Firefox 8.0"
If you can use this plugin, there has a disable button here.

Best Regards,
Tianjiao

I think you mean the upstream policy change wrt to add-ons compatibility http://www.h-online.com/open/news/item/Firefox-8-arrives-with-improved-add-on-control-1374947.html

A tab opens and it asks me if I want to enable the add-on. I can configure and disable it if I want.
It works.
