Description:
Commit 700a01c5be6917ff121a1d895e7edb0786fa528c (ntp 4.2.6.p4-1) removed the default "restrict" settings for IPv6 from ntp.conf:

restrict -6 default nomodify nopeer
restrict ::1

leaving the IPv4 settings in place. Why was this done? Please restore these.

Those lines were always commented and are useless anyhow since the default configuration only allows read-only connections from localhost.
This makes sense for most people and those who need fine-grained access control for remote IPv4/v6 hosts should write their own configuration file.

True, yet I think IPv4 and IPv6 should be treated equally, both in defaults and examples/comments...

Well, alright, I'll add "restrict ::1" alongside "restrict 127.0.0.1" in the SVN version of the configuration file, so the next upgrade will be v4/v6 balanced.
