Running gnuplot I get:

> (gnuplot:2827): Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate theme engine in
> module_path: "equinox",

> (gnuplot:2176): Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate theme engine in
> module_path: "murrine",

after installing community/gtk-engine-murrine the latter disappears. Note that i might happen to have other gtk-engines, and other people who do don't see it.

Steps to reproduce: run gnuplot, `plot x*x` or anything with default output (as set with `set terminal x11`)
while not having community/gtk-engine-murrine or gtk-engine-equinox.

Suggested solutions: really, it works fine, probably it is a bug that is produces these error messages in the first place?

Alternatively the dependencies can be added, but equinox seems to be in aur https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=35808 (I prefer it stay in extra though..)
This task depends upon

I don't think its an archlinux issue, maybe Ronald knows? :)

There's not a single reference to equinox or murrine in the gnuplot sources, so this must be something on your system that is wrong. Probaly you installed some gtk2 theme that uses one of these engines.

Looks like it, I didn't know themes could have dependencies. By chance i changed to diehard4(wanted to try a dark theme again) and the problem disappeared. Trying some others, it looks like it was Drakfire-Zuki that causes the (very minor) problem. I think i got it via another way than the package system.(Searching browsing history, there are indeed links to there http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Drakfire+Zuki?content=141651, https://drakfire86.deviantart.com/art/drakfire-Zuki-GTK3-208493499)

Thanks for the replies, and sorry to bother you with this very minor bug, maybe i should have posted it at gnuplot itself.(But making so many logins is annoying..)
