Description:

The dia package (0.97.1-4) seems to have a missing dependency on the package that provides the "which" command.

You should have 'which' installed - along with the rest of the 'base' group.

Looking at the install script and the package dependencies, the commands used in post_install are useless. Why would you check for update-desktop-database, update-mime-database and gtk-update-icon-cache using "which" if the packages providing those binaries are in depends already?

You want me to keep 1/3 of the base group around just for the fun of it? I don't think so. Of course nobody expects his system to work without grep but that's common sense. While the same thing may apply to "which" it's certainly ridiculously false in many cases.

Mark bugs as won't fix and close them with a proper message if it makes sense, but don't expect (and continiously remind) people to keep tons of packages they simply couldn't care less about. In the repos as they are today, this funny "rule" of yours is violated at least several dozen times.

Do you mean that sometimes packages from 'base' are mentioned in 'depends' array or something else?
