Details

Description:

Jedit opens multiple instances instead of reusing active instance. This could be prevented by adding the -reuseview option before the "@" symbol in the final line of the file /usr/bin/jedit

Also by adding the -background option, Jedit would open more quickly if opened more than once in a session.

So the final lines of the script would look like this:

# Launch application.

exec "$JAVA_HOME/bin/java" -Xmx${JAVA_HEAP_MAX_SIZE}M -jar "/usr/share/java/jedit/jedit.jar" -background -reuseview "$@"

Additional info:
* package version jedit-4.4.2-1

Hi,

Added /usr/bin/jeditbg for running jEdit in the backround, leaving an instance can be reused.
Also, starting jEdit from the GUI now starts jeditbg by default.

Hope this resolves the issue. The package should be updated in community within an hour or so.
