Hi,

since today Iget this error when I try to start mediatomb:

:: Starting Mediatomb UPnP Media Server [BUSY]
/usr/bin/mediatomb: error while loading shared libraries: libopenjpeg.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

ldd /usr/bin/mediatomb
...
libopenjpeg.so.2 => not found
...

ls /usr/lib/libopenjpeg.so*
/usr/lib/libopenjpeg.so /usr/lib/libopenjpeg.so.1 /usr/lib/libopenjpeg.so.1.4.0

But I can't find a package providing libopenjpeg.so.2.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Thanks for reporting the bug.

I can't reproduce it here (on x86_64).

ldd /usr/bin/mediatomb | grep openjpeg
libopenjpeg.so.1 => /usr/lib/libopenjpeg.so.1 (0x00007ffdc9e63000)

I have these packages:
community/mediatomb 0.12.1-5
extra/openjpeg 1.4-1

Which version number does your installed openjpeg package have? Are you on i686 or x86_64?

And the packages are not from any alternative repository, but extra and community, right?
Just to be completely sure, does it work after this command?
pacman -S extra/openjpeg community/mediatomb

No change after this command.

Andreas,

Please try reinstalling the following packages:
pacman -S ffmpeg
pacman -S ffmpegthumbnailer
pacman -S mediatomb

This could, just maybe, solve the problem, as mediatomb depends on ffmpegthumbnailer that depends on ffmpeg that depends on openjpeg.

PirateJonno,

Unrelated, but namcap says a dependency on "file" is missing:
mediatomb E: Dependency file detected and not included (libraries ['usr/lib/libmagic.so.1'] needed in files ['usr/bin/mediatomb'])

Also, do you by any chance have openjpeg-svn installed?
Comment by Andreas Maier (Shadow256) - Friday, 21 October 2011, 16:16 GMT
pacman -S ffmpeg
pacman -S ffmpegthumbnailer
Did the trick, but strange anyway...

Thanks for your support.

Great.

PirateJonno, please also update mediatomb to depend on ffmpegthumbnailer>=2.0.7 (and possibly ffmpeg>=20111003), to avoid this issue.
