Package version: 0.98.4-1
New amsn cannot anymore find my laptops integrated webcam or any other. Used to work no problem.

I think the package is compiled wrong since when I start the program from command line these messages appear.

dlopen: ./utils/linux/capture/libng/plugins/conv-mjpeg.so: undefined symbol: ng_jpeg_quality
dlopen: ./utils/linux/capture/libng/plugins/drv0-v4l2.so: undefined symbol: ng_vfmt_to_depth
dlopen: ./utils/linux/capture/libng/plugins/drv1-v4l.so: undefined symbol: ng_vfmt_to_depth
dlopen: ./utils/linux/capture/libng/plugins/sn9c10x.so: undefined symbol: ng_conv_register

And those plugins handle the video capturing. So I think maintainer just need to clean the build and rebuild.
This task depends upon

I found a patch on Launchpad that seems to solve the problem for me with SVN revision 12345, at least (although the patch was written against rev. 12344).

You can find the Ubuntu-bug here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/amsn/+bug/875302

And the patch here:

And, in case the pastie link goes down, I've attached it.

Is this fixed in the latest package amsn-0.98.9-1 ?

It seems like it's fixed, yes. I have only done the AV configuration wizard and have yet to try the webcam in a real chat, but judging from the fact that it was working during the wizard my guess is that it's working fine now.

Does it work?
