i don't know how to fix this, unless is has something to do with --as-needed. Can you guys recompile the package having unset LDFLAGS before ./configure?

I had the RSS extension enabled when I upgraded to the broken version of epiphany-extensions, so I used this to run epiphany so that I could turn off the problematic extension:
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libdbus-glib-1.so epiphany

I tried removing --as-needed from LDFLAGS in makepkg.conf. The problem was still there. I then changed my makepkg.conf back.

I then modified LDFLAGS in the PKGBUILD, which fixed the problem:
...
LDFLAGS="$LDFLAGS -ldbus-glib-1"
export LDFLAGS
./configure ...
...

Although it is just a workaround, it does fix the problem for the moment.
