Description:
The command "rc.d list" doesn't show a running VBoxService to actually be running. This is because of the name of the init script, I believe. The service is named "VBoxService", but the init script "vbox-service", thus if you alter the section of the /sbin/rc.d-script, which determines whether the daemon is running, you end up with a script, that doesn't identify the vbox-service in the daemon autostarts section in rc.conf. Therefore you either need to modify the /sbin/rc.d script twice turning vbox-service into VBoxService before checking the running service and back again before checking the autostarts section or you need to rename the init-script into VBoxService (which I did).

Steps to reproduce:
Start vbox-service and issue "rc.d list" afterwards.

Sorry, but I don't understand this advice, in which file should I perform those changes?

broken in the other direction now--service is called vbox-service when creating/destroying, VBoxService when checking
