DetailsThere are several packaging problems with esmtp 1.2-3:
1. The binary searches for its configuration file in /usr/local/etc, not in /etc 2. The package doesn't install a default esmtprc file, neither in /etc not in /usr/share/doc/esmtp giving an error when invoked by a mail client ( 3. The package should at least suggest procmail as a local MDA (IMHO it should be a requirement so that it delivers mail locally by default). The solution to problem 1 is a recompilation. I've attached a couple of patches to the PGKBUILD that fix 2 and 3. |

I just noticed I made a little mistake with file locations. The sample.esmtprc and README files should go in /usr/share/doc/esmtp. Corrected patch applied.
