Description:

If I click on the touchpad/trackpad in the bottom area (it seems there is only one button which is equal to the whole touchpad) and move with another finger, I get a right (button=3) click, which is weired
on a move event.

Otoh: If I enable RBCornerButton=3 with synclient and tap (one finger) onto the right bottom area,
no right click is performed. Trying to push the button also does not work.

Using xf86-input-synaptics 1.5.0RBCornerButton-1 on a HP DM1 and MacBook Air 4,2.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
* config and/or log files etc.

Where's the bug in our package? Any forum thread where this has been discussed? Any logs and config files?

It sounds like a user misconfiguration or less likely an upstream issue.

Has this been fixed in 1.5.99.901-2 in testing repo?

I'm on xf86-input-synaptics 1.5.99.902-1 and it is still not working. Though clicking on the pad on the left and right side now generates button 1 and button 3 events (not reported in this bug report, but intesting though :-)

How's 1.5.99.904 release? Upstream reports says it's fixed.
