Description: [virtualbox] 4.1.4-2 usr/lib/virtualbox/vboxwebsrv is broken and in turn prevents phpvirtualbox from working with the error detailed here. http://code.google.com/p/phpvirtualbox/issues/detail?id=421

Steps to reproduce:
Start vboxwebsrv in the usual way and then try to access it using phpvirtualbox and you will encounter the error detailed here http://code.google.com/p/phpvirtualbox/issues/detail?id=421

really, he didn't built a "working" vboxserv, he just got the one from the virtualbox.org generic package.

It looks like I should downgrade or fix gsoap, then virtualbox should be rebuilt with it.

i asked Claudio to report this issue to virtualbox. lets wait to see what are they saying, maybe we can have a patch for testing

I've just updated gsoap to 2.8.4 and rebuilt vbox 4.1.6-3 against it.

vboxwebsrv works fine now with phpvirtualbox.

I confirm that the problem persists with the official 4.1.6-3 package. Building the package from ABS against a newer version of gsoap (2.8.5, in my case) fixes the issue.

Can the official package be rebuilt?
