Details
Description: Arch won't start after xorg 1.11.1-2 update, I
don't know if that's due to the nvidia-173xx-lts driver or
to the kernel not supporting it. It stucks before KDM
loading with a black screen and an underscore blinking. I
had to chroot and by hand cli restore xorg previous version
and its dependencies plus ignoring them in pacman.conf.
Please move this thread to nvidia-lts if it's not the
kernel. A kiss distro shouldn't lack on a long therm support
kernel for an end-user it might take a fresh installation to
solve this problem even thought it's all well documented.
This isn't a bunch of insults to your job but criticism to
perfect it. So, keep up the good job mate :D

nvidia-173xx doesn't have xorg-server 1.11 support. it doesn't
have any connection with the kernel

Does it work with nouveau and the 3.0 kernel?
