Additional comments about closing:  "Works for me" / upstream / not a packaging bug.

Runs fine on my old 32-bit.
Comment by Matthias Krüger (matthiaskrgr) - Wednesday, 12 October 2011, 13:51 GMT
Hmm, I have a 64_86 sys here.

Hmm, the dependency list shows me "libjpeg", but this package does not seem to be available. Could this be the problem?
(How can I install the programm if there is a missing dependency?!)
Comment by Karol Błażewicz (karol) - Wednesday, 12 October 2011, 13:53 GMT
libjpeg-turbo provides (and conflicts and replaces) libjpeg http://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/tree/trunk/PKGBUILD?h=packages/libjpeg-turbo
You should have it installed.
Comment by Matthias Krüger (matthiaskrgr) - Wednesday, 12 October 2011, 14:00 GMT
Indeed.

These are my dependency-version:
sdl : 1.2.14-9
freealut : 1.1.0-4
freeglut : 2.6.0-1
libpng : 1.4.8-1
libxi : 1.4.3-1
libxmu : 1.1.0-1
libxrandr : 1.3.2-1
plib: 1.8.5-2
libjpeg-turbo: 1.1.1-3
zlib : 1.2.5-4
enet : 1.3.3-1
speed-dreams-data : 2.0.0b1-1

I also seem to have two speed-dream executable in /usr/bin:

./speed-dreams
./speed-dreams-2
Comment by Karol Błażewicz (karol) - Wednesday, 12 October 2011, 14:24 GMT
speed-dreams is a symlink to speed-dreams-2.

Works here. x86_64. Which graphics driver/card do you have?
Comment by Matthias Krüger (matthiaskrgr) - Wednesday, 12 October 2011, 17:32 GMT
Radeon x1300 mobility.

cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Section "Device"
Identifier "r"
Driver "radeon"
EndSection

Thank you. Does it work if you try the catalyst drivers?
Comment by Matthias Krüger (matthiaskrgr) - Wednesday, 12 October 2011, 19:10 GMT
Hmm, I didn't find an official catalyst package.

Do you mean this aur package? https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=29111

However, it's flagged as outdated, I think I better wait for an update?
Comment by Karol Błażewicz (karol) - Wednesday, 12 October 2011, 19:11 GMT Comment by Sven-Hendrik Haase (Svenstaro) - Wednesday, 12 October 2011, 22:57 GMT
ATI has stopped providing Catalyst for that card long ago. Things work fine on my Radeon X2100 Mobility using free drivers.

I'm fairly sure this is not a packaging bug.
Comment by Alexander F. Rødseth (xyproto) - Thursday, 13 October 2011, 06:25 GMT
Please ask in the forums if anyone with the same graphics card and driver has had any luck with speed-dreams. Closing this bug for speed-dreams.
