As discussed on the forum, a typical GNOME 3 install on Arch
Linux doesn't use proper GNOME 3 cursors, but instead the
default cursors that come with X.org

please refer to that report. i don't want to use hacks and instead i want to see a proper fix since the cursor has the right theme in firefox and thunderbird.
