Description:
The package firefox-18n-XX doesn't provide a translation. The package version is 7.0.1

Reproducible : always

Steps to reproduce : just install firefox-i18n-XX-7.0.1 and start firefox. It is always in english.

Element of resolution :

The . xpi file is usr/lib/firefox-7.0/extensions/langpack-XX@firefox.mozilla.org.xpi
but it should be usr/lib/firefox-7.0.1/extensions/langpack-XX@firefox.mozilla.org.xpi

can you say clearly what language doesn't work?

it works perfectly fine here with firefox-i18n-ro, de etc.

LANG=ro_RO.utf8 firefox

to do it permanently you need to set it up system wide in rc.conf

I'm sorry, I think I made a mistake.

If firefox-i18n-XX doesn't work, I think it's because I'm using firefox-kde-opensuse from AUR.

firefox-kde-opensuse has a directory /usr/lib/firefox-7.0.1, but firefox-18n and firefox from extra have /usr/lib/firefox-7.0.

So firefox-i18n works with firefox, but not with firefox-kde-opensuse.

I will contact the maintainer of firefox-kde-opensuse to fix this bug.

yes, we hacked the version to avoid recompiling the system extensions. in the future we want to drop entirely the version from libdir
