DetailsDescription:
I've checked out geany from community with svn. In geany/trunk, when I run "checkpkg" I get: File "geany-0.21-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.gz" doesn't exist Which is correct, but this file does exist: geany-0.21-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz I assume this is the file checkpkg should be looking for. Additional info: * package version(s) devtools 0.9.27 Steps to reproduce: 1. svn co svn+ssh://community.archlinux.org/srv/svn-packages/geany 2. cd geany/trunk 3. makepkg (or sudo extra-x86_64-build, if you prefer) 4. checkpkg |

checkpkg uses ${PKGEXT}. Check your makepkg.conf files.
