Description:

Gnome-settings-daemon doesn't lock the session before suspending.
This results is a (if only for three seconds) unlocked session after resuming.

I have tested the patch attached to the upstream bug and it seems to fix the problem. [1]
It's already included in the Ubuntu packages. [2]

Could the patch be applied to the Arch package?

Additional info:
* gnome-settings-daemon 3.2.0-2 (i686, haven't checked on x86_64 yet)

Steps to reproduce:

Use a media key to suspend computer and resume.
You'll notice that there's a delay before the gnome session is locked after resuming.

[2] Ubuntu package changelog: http://www.ubuntuupdates.org/packages/show/320618 (gnome-settings-daemon (3.2.0-0ubuntu2))

i know but i won't add it. only critical issues should be backported. We don't want to backport all fixes from gnome 3.2...

Fine by me, it doesn't seem that many users have a problem with it anyway.
