After upgraded to net-tools 1.60.20110819cvs-1, i can't connect to any wired (r8169) or wireless (bcm4312) interface even after a reboot.

Solution is to downgrade to net-tools 1.60-18

see dmesg below :

try installing inetutils.
Comment by Jim Bridgewater (jwbwater) - Sunday, 09 October 2011, 02:17 GMT
This update breaks my laptop's wireless network connection even though inetutils 1.8-5 is installed.

dhcpcd times out:

sudo dhcpcd wlan0
dhcpcd[6126]: version 5.2.12 starting
dhcpcd[6126]: wlan0: waiting for carrier
dhcpcd[6126]: timed out

downgrading back to net-tools 1.60-18 fixes this

"The hostname utility was removed in net-tools 1.60.20110819cvs-1. The inetutils package, which was recently moved into the base group, will provide hostname from now on. Please make sure to install inetutils especially if you have problems with network utilities."

source : http://www.archlinux.org/news/hostname-utility-moved-from-net-tools-to-inetutils/

so if inetutils is needed, why it's not in the $depends in the PKGBUILD ?
