DetailsDescription:
Gnome shell's integration with instant messages, ie the notification area, does not show messages sent by the user (outgoing) but does show all incoming messages. Although, when the conversation window is first opened, the notification show the previous conversation with both previous incoming and outgoing messages. If this is a regression in empathy/gnome-shell and someone else can confirm this with other protocols, I'll report upstream. Additional info: * package version(s): confirmed with telepathy-glib 0.15.5 and telepathy-glib 0.15.7 and only started happening with upgrade to gnome-shell 3.2.0 and empathy 3.2.0 * Only confirmed with butterfly but not anything other protocol Steps to reproduce: Send a message via the gnome-shell IM integration. No outgoing message is shown in notification but incoming is shown. It basically looks like a one sided conversation, where the messages on your end is not shown. |
