DetailsDescription:
On 2010-11-1, the 'wireshark' package was split into 'wireshark-cli' and 'wireshark-gtk' (see link below), and the dependency list for the 'kismet' package was not updated to require 'wireshark-cli'. The 'wireshark-gtk' package depends on 'wireshark-cli' so I believe that just changing Kismet's optional dependency of 'wireshark' to 'wireshark-cli' would be the proper resolution. Also, I do not see much reason to bump the version number over such a minor issue, but I'm not sure what the packaging policies are. Additional info: * Version: 2011_03_R2-2 * Task page for splitting 'wireshark' into two packages: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/20784 * Kismet package page for Arch: http://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/kismet/ Steps to reproduce: Irrelevant |
