This is fixed after removing a Firefox window rule from KDE settings.

* Start systemsettings (the KDE settings dialog)
* Go to Window Behavior
* Go to Window Rules
* Remove/alter any Firefox rules

I can't remember what initially triggered me to install this window rule in the first place, but if you've done so in the past, it is no longer necessary after Gnome 3.2 and it breaks things.
