Details

Description: Cannot install last initscripts version. There is a conflict with a previously installed locale.sh

Don't try -f option here.

Here is the output :

Erreur: la validation de la transaction a échoué (conflit de fichiers)
initscripts: /etc/profile.d/locale.sh est déjà présent dans le système de fichiers

In english :

Error: validation of the transaction failed (file conflict)
initscripts: / etc / profile.d / locale.sh is already present in the file system

Installed version : 2011.07.3-1

Steps to reproduce:

Just upgrade a testing archlinux and see the output.

You can delete the old file, both do the same thing: with french locale :
