DetailsWhen updating to 1.2.5, maybe it would be worthwhile linking against libmount. The API is now stable in util-linux, and in use by at least Fedora since F15, so it should be fairly well tested.
We do this with mount in util-linux now, and so far no problems has been reported. When all the mount helpers have moved over to libmount we no longer have to write to /etc/mtab, but rather we can keep it as a symlink to /proc/self/mounts. |
