Description:
This is actually an upstream bug, I just opened this here to make the package maintainer aware of it, and to offer the patch to be included into the PKGBUILD until it is solved upstream. I'm fully aware that this will probably not be done due to the KISS nature of Arch, but you never know.

I removed the entire kernel version check section for now, nobody in Arch will be using linux 2.3 or older. Thanks for reporting!
