Description:
Boot process when Arch starts up shows ulog possibly not correct, meaning, maybe all that should be shown and said is, 'Starting ulogd daemon'? Additional info: * package version(s) ulogd-1.24-6-i686 * config and/or log files etc. I've attached /var/log/boot where you can see the messages being displayed on the screen when booting up as; Starting ulogd daemon Wed Aug 31 19:37:14 2011 <3> ulogd.c:308 registering interpreter `oob' Wed Aug 31 19:37:14 2011 <3> ulogd.c:308 registering interpreter `ip' Wed Aug 31 19:37:14 2011 <3> ulogd.c:308 registering interpreter `tcp' Wed Aug 31 19:37:14 2011 <3> ulogd.c:308 registering interpreter `icmp' Wed Aug 31 19:37:14 2011 <3> ulogd.c:308 registering interpreter `udp' Wed Aug 31 19:37:14 2011 <3> ulogd.c:308 registering interpreter `ahesp' Wed Aug 31 19:37:14 2011 <3> ulogd.c:363 registering output `syslogemu' Steps to reproduce: Install ulogd and place it in /etc/rc.conf to run at startup; DAEMONS=(syslog-ng dbus hal !network netfs crond alsa wicd ulogd shorewall) Here's a screen shot; (Sorry crappy cellphone picture) http://postimage.org/image/bv13dnz8/ You can see in the screen shot where it says; Starting ulogd daemon, but then it spits out all this info about registering interpreter... I hope we can get this cleaned up so all you see during the boot up is just it saying 'Starting ulogd daemon' THANKS |
