ettercap was unmaintained since 2004 and now I'm the new maintainer.

You can find the NG-0.7.4.1 version on drizztbsd.github.com/ettercap/dist/ettercap-NG-0.7.4.1.tar.gz and the new (proposed) PKGBUILD on http://ompldr.org/vYTZicw/PKGBUILD

Mark the package out of date, there's a nice formula. This is not the right place

I'm not sure if marking the package as out-of-date is appropriate; upstream (the official one, the dead one, not the fork on Github) hasn't made a new release since 2005.

I'll leave this report open for now. :)
