I do not have the good and bad plugins here and there is no crash when opening Menu->Preferences.

Removed gstreamer0.10-good-plugins and gstreamer0.10-bad-plugins and now clementine does not start at all (I don't get a segfault, though).
Before removing the gstreamer0.10 packages, Menu -> Preferences worked fine in clementine.

x86_64

installed:
clementine 0.7.1-7
gstreamer0.10-good 0.10.30-1

not installed:
gstreamer0.10-bad 0.10.22-2
gstreamer0.10-bad-plugins 0.10.22-2
gstreamer0.10-good-plugins 0.10.30-1

Does it work with 1.0.0 ?
Comment by Alexander F. Rødseth (xyproto) - Thursday, 05 January 2012, 22:35 GMT
When I start clementine, this is what I get:

clementine
23:31:38.018 WARN unknown QDBusConnection: name 'org.freedesktop.UDisks' had owner '' but we thought it was ':1.14'

Then nothing happens.

These are installed:
clementine 1.0.0-2
gstreamer0.10-bad 0.10.22-3
gstreamer0.10-good 0.10.30-1
gstreamer0.10-ugly 0.10.18-4

clementine 1.0.0 doesn't seem to work here, at least.

I am not sure that this message is related to gstreamer. Looks more like a dbus/udisk issue to me.

Good point, Stéphane. Please disregard my previous comment. I'll create a new ticket instead.
