When I logged in, some words blink. Also, the words appear in this format: "_Home_ - _Accounts_ - _Packages_ - _Submit_ - _Logout_", I tried spanish, english, deutsch but it continues equal.

Also, I want to do the catalan translation (ca), what do I must do?

Other languages than english aren't yet supported.. I'll try to fix your account if the default is set wrong.

We're also working on an easy way for people who are interested in translating to do so. I'll keep you posted. Thanks!

This is the current howto for translation, it's currently the only way to do it.

I am looking into ways we might ease this process (how about interactive prompting, translation-by-translation?? :)).

The blinking words is part of the design, untranslated strings are set to blink. Since only english (and a little german, I guess) is currently supported, you must select english, then logout and log back in, they should stop blinking.

I've re-added the English language link, so people can easily switch back to it. We'll get other languages up soon, but until then, we need to give people a way to at least select the English version!

I've also updated everyone set to another language to English for now, as a one-time database fix.

See related task #2597, it proposes a new translation structure and scheme that should greatly simplify a translator's job.

Cool; I think we should wait for Eric to come back and have a look at this.. I think that's in early May. Then we could switch this out for the 1.1 release? I'll look at it before then and leave you any feedback I might have.

Simplifying a translator's job is a very good thing!

I'm going to close this bug for now. Nobody should be getting blinking words anymore, and the translation system overhaul is in a separate bug.
