Description:
perl-libwww 6 in testing breaks checkgmail from connecting to GMail. If I can get someone with some more development knowledge to look at this I can get this in upstream if that is in fact the case.

Additional info:
* perl-libwww 6.02-1, checkgmail 1.13-5
* config and/or log files etc.

Steps to reproduce:
Install perl-libwww from testing. Start up or restart checkgmail and it will fail to connect to GMail complaining about HTTPS.

Installing perl-lwp-protocol-https fixes this, perhaps this should be added to the dependencies.

Confirmed what John found- this does fix it. If the dependencies are updated this may be closed.

I went ahead and changed perl-libwww to perl-lwp-protocol-https in the depends array so this should be fixed in pkgrel 6.

The latest round of Perl library updates kills it again- "Incorrect user name or password."

Hi guys,

Last update of checkgmail broke it again. It keeps telling "Incorrect user name or password" and I can't solve the problem with the John patch. Did you manage to make it work?

same problem here

A few days ago I updated the SVN patch so that the linked patch above could be applied. Then I added that patch as well. See if it works.
