DetailsThe current pkg compiles the bundled (outdated) readline library instead of using the readline library provided by the base system (like bash).
Most distributions fixed this: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=50069 If the --without-readline switch is added to configure, it will use the system readline library rather than the bundled one. This also reduces mysql binary size by 100K. Jürgen |
