I also have the same bug - I can't start obconf even when specifying rc.xml file in command line implicitly

Not verified on a plain openbox system.
Probably an LXDE related issue. Does symlinking rc.xml -> lxde-rc.xml help?

I run an Openbox only desktop (not LXDE) and it works for me

Strangely, it doesn't run with "obconf --config-file .config/openbox/lxde-rc.xml" (typed from ~) but starts with "cd .config/openbox/ && obconf --config-file lxde-rc.xml", with tons of gdk related errors.

Maybe it's GTK1/2 related (i have only gtk2 installed)

After a "yaourt -S gtk", error file (2>errorlog.txt) gives the same contents with the same size.

I don't think gdk related errors is relevant to this bug (or GTK version 1, for that matter).

I get the same error, you can still edit the .xml file to change the theme though.
